Jesse was a good friend of mine in high school but we lost touch over the years. He had a great sense of humor and was very talented. I'm very sorry to hear about his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I didn't know Jesse long, but he was always a great support in the CF lung transplant Facebook group we were part of. He seemed like a fantastic guy and I am so sorry for his family's loss.

Kristin, our thoughts and prayers are with your family. Jesse was my oldest friend, and it broke my heart to hear of his passing and to be unable to attend in person. The service was amazing and a powerful testament to his legacy.

My thoughts are with Jesse's family and friends (which I consider myself one of) today. There are so many wonderful things that could be said about him, but I'll always just remember him as a genuinely nice guy that cared about all those around him. We'll miss you Jesse.

Jesse's friendship and encouragement over the past few years were a huge blessing. He leaves a legacy of encouragement and faith to not only his family, but his friends. Encouraging them to be better, better people, better fathers, husbands, developers, and more. I'll see you again someday, buddy.

I was saddened when I wasn't able to meet Jesse when I went to Tampa in May. He said he wasn't up for a visit at that time. I said well maybe my next trip down. To Kristin, Aidan and Ivan, and Jesse's entire family, I send you love and light to get you through today and each and every day thereafter.

While I didn't have the pleasure of knowing Jesse very well, I've followed his journey through Andrew & Nicole. My heart aches for the loss you're feeling and the struggles Kristen and the boys may endure, but I celebrate knowing Jesse will never feel his earthly pains again and he is breathing easy in the presence of the Lord.

Jesse was one of the best people I have ever been fortunate to meet in person. You could tell that he was a true follower of Christ and tried to live his life accordingly. He made life look grand and easy and it made me want to do better because he could see the good in everyone everywhere. While I knew Jesse for a few years now, we only became good friends this past year. I am so honored to have been able to call him my friend. Kristin my heart and prayers are with you and the boys. I am definitely better for knowing you Jesse Petersen.

I am so sorry for your loss. I wish I could have spent more time getting to know Jesse in person. The only time I saw Jesse in person was WordCamp Miami 2015, I was at the same hotel as him and his family, I knew who he was when I saw him at the free continental breakfast, but never had the courage to say hi. A few months later I asked him to be on my new podcast "The WP Crowd", and he joined me every week for a few months. We had some great convos both recorded and before/after recording. We had some great banter back and forth on Twitter as well, and I've been following along with both the surprise adoption, and CF progress. I'm very sorry for the loss. I was looking forward to meeting him again, this time with enough courage to say hi in person.
